[ smile broadens a little. hopeful, but maybe for a different reason. ]

[careful, oh-so-casual]

Oh yeah? I mean, we could go out if there's something you wanna do. But uh. Didn't know if you wanted to, uh. Stay in for a little.

If I didn't know any better I'd say you were coming on to me.

[ teasing, squeezing her hand briefly ]

... I wanna show you the rainy day room. If you wanna hole up somewhere soft.

...Didn't wanna be pushy about it, but, uh.

[will take that slight change of subject]

A-anyway--it rains in there?

Nah, I just call it that. Cuz of the thunder and stuff.

[ getting up. and opening the window? ]

... maybe I can get rain for it though... anyway, let's get going.

[Is already standing, but tugs on Req's hand before she can actually float out]

[ pauses ]

[hesitates, then

goes up on tiptoes to press a light kiss to her mouth]

is this what forgiveness feels like ]

[ if only her heart still beat. maybe the tightness in her chest wouldn't feel so painful.

leans down a little to make that easier for her after that second of freezing up and to press a gentle kiss back, just... brief, and nervous, her face entirely red when she draws back. ]

[pulls back a little more slowly, dropping back to flat feet. looks away a bit, heat over her cheeks and up her ears]

...A-anyways. Storms?

... y-yeah. Storms.

[ hesitates a moment. and then just gently picks her up and floats out down towards zrael. ]

[doesn't struggle this time, enjoying the free ride]

[ gently sets her down inside once they're in past the zrael balcony, and leads her over to what looks like a trap door in the hallway wall. ]

[ and she kneels down to open it and crawl in. ]

[watches, head cocked, but follows behind pretty quick]

You worried about an invasion or something?

[ it opens into a room dimly lit by star shaped fairy lights and the faint moonlight, obscured as it is by clouds. Everything's soft and cushioned with blankets and pillows and, as promised, thunder and soft heat lightning faintly rumbles through the clouds above.

Req is flopped onto some blankets, shoes kicked off. ]

Nah, just didn't want ANYONE wandering in or nothin.

You're not telling me the others don't even know it's here, are you?

[also deposits her socks and shoes at the entrance and scoots in, looking around]

...Kinda like a fancier version of our mattress fort...

Nah, they know. We needed a room just for sulking in cuz we all kept hiding out in Doodles' blanket fort.

[ rolls onto her side and props her head up on one arm. ]

... you like it? I got an upgrade in my room too. No patio or studio yet, but that should come through next time... at least the studio, anyway. But hey, my bed's only accessible by people who can defy gravity.

[sits near the wall, legs folded, hands in her lap]

Huh... Guess that cuts down on Lady jumping on the bed when you aren't home. But yeah, cozy enough, seems like it should work good for a hideout when you need it.

Mm.

[ watches her for a moment, before sitting up again. ]

... you uh... wanna sit with me?

...Uh, yeah, if you wanna sit.

[hesitates, then scoots closer]

[ waits for her to close the gap before shuffling up against her side, leaning gently. ]

[Hums, then loosely wraps her arm around Req's waist, resting her hand light on her hip]
