And... I know I said "we'll talk" and all but I'm not actually gonna make you. Know you wouldn't wanna. So-- sorry. For that one.

[He pauses. Swallows.]

[Yeah, he is turning to go.]

I meant... just about-- when I texted about Nem the other day.

[ not stopping him, but... ]

... just figured you wouldn't wanna have serious talks. Since you don't like them. And all.

[Pauses, not going any farther.]

[ she doesn't specifically want to. She's so tired.

... yeah. I'll listen to anything you gotta say.

Just... don't want you to think Nem cares about me more than you, I guess. More importantly. Cuz she don't.

[He hesitates - ducks his head.]

I ain't gonna go gray or nothing, I been keeping track.

Mars just mentioned you headed out the other day, that's all.

Yeah. I kinda, uh. Ducked out a couple days to put the meeting off.

[Because he's disappointed everyone else, and he kind of cut out without seeing anyone.]

He was just worried, I think. But nah, not angry.

How bout you? You doing okay with the rest of Zrael?

Yeah. ... haven't been going out much but... 'least there's always at least someone there. Doodles's been 'round a lot, so I've been hanging with him...
