[a photo comes. it's a picture of a nondescript shopfront...much like the one about two doors down from the hotel, so close and yet so far]

[ oh my god. baby.

She gathers up her stuff and the cocoa (after reheating it) for nem and heads out there to meet her.

For her part she looks paler and exhausted but. Not any more grayscale than usual. But just moving kinda slowly. She's also got a blanket bundled up in her arms. ]

[Nemesis looks kind of washed out and low-key distressed, but once she catches sight of Requiem that changes to weak relief, and she trots over to meet her]

H-hey. Geez, sorry. --What happened, you're moving like an old granny.

Ah. Seeing that relief in her face, even that small, makes something warm rise in her chest.

But she smiles a bit, weakly, and hands nem the mug. ]

Hey... don't worry. Let's chill? Somewhere where i'm not gonna get burned when the sun comes up. Things went really nasty earlier and I kinda... lost it.

Oh, yeah?

[frowns, looking her over rather than making any moves towards someplace that isn't the middle of the street]

You okay?

[ just looks like req. She leans over to gently bonk her head on nem's.]

Just tired from that. That's all.

[doesn't quite fluster, but wrinkles her nose]

I told you to stay in bed. You shouldn't be out if you're gonna be all sick and wobbly. You'll be pissed if you catch a cold.

[begins ushering her in some direction, as if she knows where she's going]

[ letting herself be herded, laughing softly ]

Can vampires even get sick? I'm gonna be fine, it's not THAT cold.

Drink your cocoa before it gets all nasty.

Maybe your immune system is already at risk, since you go around eating pipe cleaners and stuff. Come on, in here.

[It's still a bit before the sun will be an issue, but she drags them into one of the building sets nevertheless. It's not exactly the swanky cafe the signage implies, but there's like the odd chair or like a crate or something, and the windows are intact, so in theory it should serve as adequate shelter for both chill and light. Nemesis finally chances a sip of cocoa, seeming somewhat pleased with herself for remembering a location]

[ ohhh. Looks around curiously(she's yet to go in one of the empty shops) and heads for a corner far away from the windows enough that light won't seep that far in.

She awkwardly shuffles the bass off her back and leans it against the wall, unwrapping the blanket -- there's a pack of strawberries wrapped up that she sets aside-- and shakes it out, gesturing nem over. ]

C'mon, let's get warm. When's the last time you ate?
